Today’s clean up included 7 bags of purely Coldplay concert-related rubbish. We had to flag down a Dublin City Council – North City Centre truck to take the bags as we can no longer rely on the citizen hub app which is unfit for purpose. A new working model is now required. Thanks to our dedicated crew!

Following a very interesting meeting with Senator Marie Sherlock we urge all our followers to ask candidates in the next election for national policy change! 1. Change who collects the waste- allow the 4 local authorities to have a single tender for waste collection.

2. Change how waste is collected; shared collection points, more bring centres locally. 3. Change who holds the bin contract; landlords must be held responsible for their rented (often overcrowded) properties.

Thanks to our volunteers today who covered almost the whole area. ( just four people!) we were delighted to see the mini park at the corner of Clonliffe Road is finally finished/replanted. In a few weeks it will look much more lush once it gets established. Two more benches too!
