Love this tangential pearl from Frank Gaillard, day 1 #Radiopaedia2024, explaining why tumours cause seizures. In particular, that IDH1/2 mutant tumours (e.g. low-grade gliomas) produce D-2-hydroxyglutarate, which is structurally similar to excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate!

Each year Radiopaedia.org ask you a simple question: "How are we doing?" This shapes how we grow. Please take 2 min to fill it in. It makes a big difference. bit.ly/r-census2024 #radiology #medicine
