The most depressing thing? All of these benefits for older people won’t exist by the time people my age reach retirement. The social contract has never been so broken. We’re waiting for a party to be honest but we live in a gerontocracy where young people can be sidelined

Given pensioners' disproportionate electoral weight, European democracies are at risk of a gerontocratic death spiral More and more resources will be dedicated to placate them at the expense of the active population, depressing innovation + fertility along the way, etc...

Ok so that’s 20 years and by my count only one 2 year period (2011-2013) where the polls 2 years hence roughly matched what people expected at the time(and even then then missed something important - rise of Ukip). How confident, then, should any of us be about expectations

it's frustrating that parties attack each other for nonsense like this, they seemingly can't resist the open-goal but it doesn't win or lose them any votes while being corrosive overall

[my kids asking me why World War Three started in 20 years] well, there was this one video game about depression that got a good review from the creator's ex boyfriend,

The Anglosphere should simply strip local governments of authority over land use. They have abused the power too long, to too devastating of effect, and it should be removed.

The camp day-time tv, low culture element of reform is an a very important part of its identity as a party. Bull encapsulates that
