At the LMS Lagoon (the library) Mrs Fletcher has created a Book Blind Date. The books are wrapped but have reviews and a genre label. Students unwrap their book and read 20 pages to decide if they commit to the book. It’s a great idea for building reading excitement.

LMS students in Mrs McAllister’s PE class are playing a morphed version of pickle ball and badminton.

Mr Stegman’s biology class is dissecting sharks. I really wanted to play the Jaws theme music.

The PHS Cheerleaders are breaking out some throwback cheer uniforms for tonight’s game at the Frogdome vs Larned. They held a pep assembly today and it was loud.

It’s Art class (one of the specials) at the PAC.

Rylan Rockenbach and Owen Schmidt were honored as PHS students of the month at Rotary. They knocked it out of the park!

Thank you to SW PTO who contributed $30K towards our PAC Upper Elementary playground. They are at afternoon recess today and enjoying the beautiful weather. They also have the turf football field to play on and there is another playground in front of the Frogdome.

Mr Brown is running our PAC/LMS robotics challenge to determine our six participants in a competition in OKC. Parent support and Mr Brown’s effort allows this program to challenge students problem solving skills and grow grit.

The PHS band is playing for our 4th graders to encourage them to become part of the Greenback Band family.

Our very own Will Ponder—JAG instructor at PHS—is presenting at the Pratt Public Library tonight at 6:00.

Our very own Gunner Jones (para-educator at LMS), and Pratt High graduate, is the secondary para of the year for the South Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative. Congrats!

Our very own Tonya Younie, Special Education teacher at Southwest Elementary, is the is the teacher of the year for the South Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative for 2025. She has exemplary dedication to her students and we are lucky! Congrats!
