Panaeolus fimicola (Fr.) Quél. Turf Mottlegill A fairly common species, however I tend to see it most often in unimproved grasslands as opposed to the very common Panaeolina foenisecii, which occurs readily on newly laid lawns and improved grassland etc.

Leccinum pseudoscabrum Hazel Bolete or as I like to call it, Carpini Bruiser, as it also occurs with Carpinus and it bruises slate grey. Young fruitbodies showing characteristic dimpling on the cap and bruising where nibbled.

The blood never dries in Palestine. The crowds and flags in London and other UK cities today are a glimpse of the resistance all over the world to the barbarism and lies of an occupation sponsored and armed by the West's 'leaders' - those who demand your support. Deny it now.

Geopora sumneriana-Cedar Cup The recent rains seem to have awoken the local Cedar Cups, bursting open in profusion over the last 24 hrs or so. An occasional-widespread species, occuring with various Cedar species, especially Cedrus atlantica.

Panaeolus antillarum A rare species in Britain, regarded as being sub tropic/tropical. Here fruiting from a well established pile of horse manure on the East Sussex coast. Lacking the ovoid, beige cap of P. semiovatus, it is convex & bright white. Microscopically similar.

Gymnopilus dilepis-Magenta Rust Gill A beautiful, alien exotic, fruiting on the same oak woodchip as the Agaricus subrufescens. Some ferocious competition going on in there I think.

Agaricus litoralis Wakef. & A. Pearson Coastal Mushroom A wonderful display of this rather rare species, this morning among coastal scrubland in East Sussex. I’ve never seen so many at this site…..responding to the rain and relatively warm temps.
