I actually think WEST SIDE STORY might be the only abomination of Spielberg's career: misbegotten, misguided, misjudged & misconceived. But hey, otherwise he pretty much walks on water.

OPPENHEIMER is such an unserious film. Cameron is right. Nolan was obviously in over his head with the subject matter. A far more potent examination of idealism & science & engineering corrupted by war can be found in Miyazaki's masterpiece THE WIND RISES.
