Our #scRNAseq work on #malaria in Science Magazine. A massive thank you to all collaborators, without whom it would have never been possible @mirjana_e Beatriz Teichlab NIH Wellcome Sanger Institute Mosquito cellular immunity at single-cell resolution science.sciencemag.org/content/369/65…

Final version of this paper now published in eLife - the journal! Contains additional replications and new mediation analysis between cis- and trans-eQTL effects. elifesciences.org/articles/58705

We are looking to hire a Director of Education and Outreach for Center for Integrated Cellular Analysis. If you'd like to help disseminate science and increase educational opportunities for students across NYC, please e-mail, DM, apply, or RT! Happy to share our new preprint, led by Silva Kasela & UCSF's Stephanie Christenson! We analyzed genetic and non-genetic factors affecting the expression of COVID-19 relevant genes in the large airway epithelium, leveraging respiratory disease cohorts.🧵: medrxiv.org/content/10.110…

I am so proud to see this project, that started at the beginning of my PhD, published. We set out to answer a stimulating immunology question using genomics tools. Working with David, Gosia Trynka and Blagoje Soskic was a pleasure and a great training experience!

I'm excited to share our new preprint, led by my postdoc Dafni and Beryl Cummings in collaboration with Garrett Garborcauskas, Daniel MacArthur, Oxford Nanopore and others: Transcriptome variation in human tissues revealed by long-read sequencing. Thread 👇 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Thank you, Eleftheria Zeggini, for the warm welcome🤩! So excited to officially start my own lab at Helmholtz Munich | @HelmholtzMunich w/ joint appointment @LMU_Uniklinikum. Our group will take a deep dive into all the 🧬 intricacies of the human immune system👩🔬💻 Job postings to follow, so stay tuned!

Delighted to share work from my postdoc, co-advised by Neville Sanjana and Tuuli Lappalainen! It began with wanting to identify target genes for GWAS with CRISPR screens and single-cell seq. Brief look below, with shout-outs to my amazing co-authors! Link: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

We're hiring! David A Knowles (@davidaknowles.bsky.social) and I at NY Genome Center are looking for a jointly mentored postdoc to work on functional genomics and/or statistical genetics. We offer top notch data, great environment & a fun city! Happy to chat informally, please RT. nygenome-openhire.silkroad.com/epostings/inde…

I’m a British Science Festival Award Lecturer 🎉 ☄️ and we made a video about my research on MRI and brain imaging 💦🧲👵🏽 Check it out👇🏾 Met some other amazing scientists who are Award lecturers too!! Rox Middleton XinRan Liu Laura Lammasniemi Louise Hickman Edmund Hunt Donald Slater

Excited to share our paper, out today in nature, where we characterize transcriptome variation in human tissues by long-read sequencing. Huge thanks to Dafni Beryl Cummings Garrett Garborcauskas Daniel MacArthur and other collaborators. 🧵 nature.com/articles/s4158…

A new preprint from the lab, with @mollymozzarella Stephane Castel and others! We developed methods for RNA-seq from non-invasive biospecimens. TL;DR: hair follicles and urine have major potential for large-scale transcriptomics. 🧵👇biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Thrilled about our 2nd official #EbbertLab paper submitted by Madeline Page💪, ‘Surveying the landscape of #RNAisoform diversity and expression across 9 #GTEx tissues using #longread sequencing data’. Data by Dafni Tuuli Lappalainen Beryl Cummings @BernardoHeberle Ja Brandon ONT-Bob Hope Airport
