🚨Year 11 Lift Off Evening is on Thursday 19th Oct, tips and advice on achieving well in Maths and English. A range of local colleges will be present. Attendees will get free Maths & English revision guides. Refreshments from 5.30 p.m., presentations at 6p.m., finish at 7p.m.

Our Y10 students have been using Frayer models to look at the key idea of ‘economy’ in more detail. Some excellent work by our historians!

Great effort by our Y8 students in their quiz looking at key concepts and skills. Great to see them engaging so much with what we are learning!

Brilliant example of how our Y10 students have been engaging in reading. We read through the text together under the visualiser. Students then condensed it into the 3 most important facts from each paragraph and then gave each paragraph a subheading.

Brilliant examples of our Y10 working glossaries. Each lesson students write down a key word/term for that lesson alongside its definition and then practice using it in a sentence.

Our Y9 students have been engaging in some dual coding for some of our key concepts in History. Great effort by our young historians

As part of their introduction to crime in the Industrial Period, Y10 have been learning about what the Industrial Revolution was. A great example of students analysing a Frayer Model to break this down

Y10 have been completing feedback tasks based on their last assessed piece of work. Brilliant effort analysing what makes a good answer.

As part of their study of the women’s suffrage movement, students have been examining the actions of the Suffragettes and what we can learn about their actions using sources.

Y10 have been studying passive resistance as part of their Weimar and Nazi Germany paper. They have used the Frayer Model to deconstruct this key term.
