Brillant our first excavation at #Gallowshill, #Dungarvan 😁❤ what a lovely flashback to such an exciting few years of discovery. Amazing how the story has changed since then. We have moved from a 17th century siege fort to a 7th century ritual mound.. youtu.be/1wCY_qKW2S0?si…

Wondeful film by John Foley Images, who has captured the entire Gallowshill journey from 2015. Incredible amount of footage and photography that would make an excellent documentary. Maybe a project for 2025. The Heritage Council Waterford City & County Council Archaeology in Ireland

Interesting cures from #Abbeyside Mícheál McCarthy #SchoolsFolklore While some are far fetched, its amazing how many have proven benefits to health including the dandelion thought to have antibacterial anti-inflammatory benefits "Boiled #dandelion if eaten would cure a cough"

A bullaun stone built into a wall close to the early Kilrush Church ruins and graveyard on the outskirts of #Dungarvan. There is a record of an #Ogham stone found at the church in the 19th century but no sign of it today.
