Some nice Nightjar activity last night on a Dorset Heathland whilst undertaking the BTO Heathland Bird Survey. Dorset Wildlife Spot Dorset Bird Club

Lesser white fronted goose of dubious origin at Poole Park today, a smart goose! Birds of Poole Harbour Dorset Bird Club Dorset Wildlife Spot

Thank you andy, the highest count of the year at the park. This number is still below the pre-avian flu levels for this population, with 52 of the Greylags being this year's goslings showing we have about 121 adults present. Dorset Wildlife Spot BCP Parklife Dorset Bird Club

Apparent drop in greylag numbers BCP Parklife this morning with Total of 141 including U651 with bad leg, 107/188 +2unringed gos (photo), 061/161 + gos619 ThomasBirds of Poole Harbour Dorset Bird Club

A little pre-work walk and birding with Martin Wood at Longham this morning. A total of 95+ Greylags, inc colour and metal ringed goslings and adults from this year, as well as a couple of Poole Park ringed birds moulting here now! Biggest surprise a 2023 lake gosling South West Lakes Trust

Still 125 Greylags at the park after a few birds have moulted and left. Amazing to see the numbers decrease but never actually see them leave! Also good to see the juveniles starting to fly, not long before they go either. Dorset Bird Club Dorset Wildlife Spot BCP Parklife

Lovely Mediterranean Gull adult on Bournemouth beach this weekend. A couple of Whimbrel a highlight too! Dorset Bird Club Dorset Wildlife Spot
