Season high 21 points today from Gavin Inglish in the win over Douglas at the Dayton Tournament. His outside shot looked smooth, he used his athleticism to attack and finish, and played unselfishly. The Pleasant Hill senior also added 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

Some smooth shooting today from Landen Melvin. The Pleasant Hill junior wing busted the Douglas zone with his lefty stroke, hitting two threes while getting fouled and another breaking the horn at half court. He grabbed 6 rebounds as well.

He earned a headshot last year playing JV - this season Doug Green gets one playing varsity at Pleasant Hill. The sophomore has grown taller but hasn’t lost any of his sweet touch from the perimeter, hitting a couple of threes among his 10 points off the bench in the Billies win.

Second leading scorer tonight for Pleasant Hill was Riley Smith with 8 points - but it was the last two that mattered the most. Two clutch free throws from the senior forward kept Valley Catholic at bay and it capped off a game where he played tough all night long.

Not a ton of points tonight but Landen Melvin - six on two big threes - but the Pleasant Hill junior guard did so much else on the basketball floor. He hit the boards, got the ball to teammates for scores, and had a huge block at the end of the game that helped seal the win.
