We are glad to release our new special issue focusing on how to maximize potential in organ donation and transplantation to build a conceptual framework outlining components for successful programs, followed by case studies of European countries bit.ly/3IVFME4 1/9

It is pretty clear that what @citysamuelis arguing is we (people like her) could do better if the rich could leave the poor behind.

Such sad news. Chris was my supervisor for my IR BSc in the early 00s. He was very kind to me and inspired as a teacher - his lectures had the power to shock and we revered him, but he made us laugh and was not aloof. He was a brilliant writer too. A lovely man and a huge loss.

After years of overspends and failed savings drives, the Treasury and Govt are increasingly mired in mistrust with the health and care sector they fund. This seems a niche and nerdy issue, but I think there are 5 ways in which it has become a real problem nuffieldtrust.org.uk/news-item/nhs-…

Some people have responded to that chart with "That can’t be right", or "We can’t be worse than America". I’m afraid the chart is right. 15 years ago the UK’s record on homelessness *was* not too dissimilar to other developed countries, but things have rapidly deteriorated.
