To scale Ethereum, attesters should not hold state. Who should hold it instead? In this new post I investigate that underexplored question with a protocol design perspective. Read the full post here! ethresear.ch/t/a-protocol-d… Warning: many mentions of state.

Presented my recent ethresearch post on A Protocol Design View on Statelessness yesterday. We know attesters shouldn’t hold state, but we don’t know who should hold it instead. It’s time to dive into that big Q. No time for ethresearch? Listen here instead youtu.be/EwsUDLSj_1w?si…

I opposed EOF before it was cool. I don't understand how the client teams that supported it, didn't see how much needed to be done in order to be ready. There is a lesson to be learned here: don't CFI anything that doesn't at least run on a devnet.

I do love riscv and I want a riscv-enabled Ethereum. I believe the better route, would be that of a native rollup execution engine. ethresear.ch/t/before-jumpi…

🚨 New post: A pragmatic path towards Validity-Only Partial Statelessness (VOPS) ✅🪶 TL;DR: Instead of storing the full state, nodes track only minimal account data and cut storage needs by 25× while preserving mempool functionality and censorship resistance. 🧵👇

Besu completed the migration from PMT to Verkle on Hoodi and is following the head. As we can’t compare our state root with other clients yet, we’re using Pectra’s gas cost rules to compare gas usage between PMT and Verkle blocks. Next, testing with a bigger testnet Stateless Consensus
