I am hiring for a senior professional services role: Associate Director (Strategy & Operations) of the Imperial College London Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI) . Please spread the word! imperial.ac.uk/jobs/search-jo…

Just heard that I won an Imperial College London Hugh Brady's Award for Excellence in Research Supervision. Thanks to the brilliant students I've supervised since 2002! Thank you also to my current PhD students for putting me forward & to Pier Luigi Dragotti and Christos for nominating.

Back from a really useful meeting of Aaron Zhao’s ARIA project meeting at The University of Edinburgh. Thanks for hosting to Luo Mai for hosting and Emma Fromant for organising.

The very first official Ofsted monitoring report is available for the Imperial Maths School. It's always super nice to read external verification of the fantastic work David, Tim and the rest of the team have been doing for the young people we serve: reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/46/14…

This week I look forward to welcoming three Year 12 students from Imperial College London Mathematics School, who will be spending a week of work experience with me. Today, we will be attending the presentations of final-year MEng EEE students together.

Enjoyed hearing all the great work our Imperial EEE MEng students had done for their final year projects, yesterday. Including Wendy Li, who I cosupervised with Marta Andronic on LUT-based FPGA neural networks. Today we have Imperial Computing presentations.

Congratulations to Marta Andronic and Wendy Li, whose paper (joint with me) "PolyLUT: Ultra-low Latency Polynomial Inference with Hardware-Aware Structured Pruning", an extended version of our conference paper on PolyLUT, has been accepted by IEEE Trans on Computers!

Said bye to work experience students from Imperial College London Mathematics School. By the end of the week we were discussing the Curry-Howard correspondence, dependent type theory, eigendecompositions, induced matrix norms, the halting problem, PAC-learning, Occam's razor and more!

Know an outstanding member of research staff at Imperial College London? Nominate them for an Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI) award! imperial.ac.uk/postdoc-fellow…

Delighted to address ECRs from AIMS and Imperial College London who are gathered for a week to work on innovative approaches to water security. 15 nationalities! Thanks so much to AIMS, Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI) and the IRO. Here are Angela Tabiri and Helal Ahmed kicking off proceedings.

This morning, I had the pleasure of attending PhD supervisor training offered by Early Career Researcher Institute (ECRI), delivered expertly by Caroline Hargreaves to Bioengineering colleagues. Thanks also to Magdalena Jara and Natalie Giblin.
