#Halloween treat ππ¬ Just received feedback for a paper and we even convinced #reviewer2 ! π§ββοΈπ§Ή βI believe this will be a 'must read' introduction for any student embarking on MOF researchβ Very supportive comments overall, I canβt wait sharing the review! Stay tuned π #MOFs
Now in J. Am. Chem. Soc. we use metal exchange reactions with our Ti2Ca2 clusters to integrate structural and compositional changes in #ReticularFrameworks. This soft strategy let us create MUV-301 with the largest mesoporous cages reported yet for #titanium MOFs
MERGED NETS ππ I canβt describe 350+ new nets in 280 signs, so just watch the animation & read our new paper in Science Magazine π¨βπ¨ππ¨βπ¬ with Prof. Eddaoudi_FMD3. In short, we merge nets together and get new topologies perfect for designing mix-ligand #MOFs. science.org/doi/10.1126/scβ¦
Happy to share our latest publication in advanced materials form the excellent collaboration Ultrafast Laser Spectroscopy Lab & Prof. Eddaoudi_FMD3 LargeβArea MetalβOrganic Framework Glasses for Efficient XβRay Detection - Zhu - Advanced Materials - Wiley Online Library onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/adβ¦
I'm probably not fully objective here because the NanoUp - Maspoch Group group has a special place in my life, and ozonolysis is a process I cherish, but... WOW! Felicidades Daniel, inhar imaz, J Albalad and the #BreakingBonds team! Clip-Off chemistry scope expanded from #MOFs to #COFs
SINGAPORE. βοΈπΈπ¬ Glad to return to (rainy stormy) Singapore, invited to the #SICC12 conference. πIβm scheduled at 11:05 on Thursday, symposium 13, with some cool #MOFs design from the Prof. Eddaoudi_FMD3 gem factory π, and excited to chair the last afternoon session the same day.
Ti-containing #MOFs are challenging in the making but worth the effort! Great work by the ACM team. Nice teaming up again with former NanoUp - Maspoch Group colleague Luis Garzon !
MOPs WITH A GECKO'S GRIP.ππ¦ I got the chance to write a News&Views in Nature Chemistry about a paper I enjoyed by Shuhei Furukawa Group. They made cool MOPs (that's not new) that pack in a diamond fashion the same way geckos climb walls (that's super cool)!π rdcu.be/ei8Pj
Literally βcutting-edgeβ chemistry! Felicidades Daniel and the NanoUp - Maspoch Group team, thatβs a masterpiece! #COFs #reticularchemistry
