My favorite ties are the ones my mama made for my pop and the ones my wife buys for me in Aiken, SC. Tonight I’m wearing the latter on WNDU . This one came from Lionel Smith, LTD in Aiken. Kathi has a great eye!

#TBThursday 10 years ago, my horse, Brahma Fear, and I appeared in the program for the Lake Placid Horse Show. No, we weren't competing. I was reporting and anchoring for the NBC affiliate that sponsored some of the show. This was the year I met Bruce Springsteen.

Congratulations to Kelly Rubley and the connections of Nothingbutbluesky. A very game race for this tough horse to break his maiden. I had money down and like a true degenerate, watched the race on my laptop in South Bend.

I just rewatched the Dubai World Cup and promptly put a win bet down on Hit Show in today's Stephen Foster at Churchill Downs. My first instinct was to bet on Sierra Leone, but Brad Cox knows what he's doing, Hit Show never gives up, and I ride a grey!

Another reason to like Joe Flacco. My fellow Univ. of Delaware grad defies digital age by shunning social media for fierce battle in Browns quarterback race motorcyclesports.net/joe-flacco-def…

This isn’t a story about the flashing lights, the stomach spinning rides or the freakish fried foods. As George Mallet tells us, this is what the St. Joseph County 4-H Fair is really about. wndu.com/2025/07/02/st-…

Happy 4th of July. Democracy isn’t perfect, but it’s the best thing going. Watercolor and ballpoint pen on card stock. 7/4/25

Again and again, Jason Quick's piece about George Karl has popped up in my social media feeds. I don't know what took me so long to read it. If you have any affection for basketball, its future, and its history, this is a great, if heartwrenching, read. bit.ly/4nwNWoO

This cowboy got to ride twice in as many days this weekend. I had a lot of horse beneath me on Sunday, who thought we should be running and jumping, not walking. Love riding a go horse!
