Lots of people are now talking about attention and strategies for ensuring students are listening. I think that's a Good Thing, so here are some things that might help 👇👇 First - Ratio. I wrote this based on Lemov almost 4 years ago! Still useful imo! achemicalorthodoxy.co.uk/2020/02/09/rat…

Thoroughly enjoyable Geographical Association GeogPod episode with James Esson. Listened on my walk, and had to keep stopping to make notes. Key takeaway for me is to avoid “difference and deficit” when discussing case studies, and to get away from the auto-hierarchy of HIC vs LIC. Recommended!

I've used lots of Fiona Sheriff 👨👩👧👧🌍's resources before but usually just as one-off lessons/SOWs. Yesterday, we got to see the thinking behind her KS3 curriculum, and it was just superb. Such a thoughtful, creative and exciting curriculum. I came away inspired and ready to revamp!💥

Have said it before BUT…If you are are geography HoD, get your department a copy of Luke Tayler ‘s book. Super subject knowledge resource and help build subject pedagogy for newer teachers (and not so new- I have changed the way I draw a couple of diagrams because of this book)
