Made up to have had my work picked for the inaugural Didsbury Arts Festival Summer Open from some 300 or so entries by Manchester artists. My piece is a concrete poetry triptych collectively called “Rivers”. This year’s exhibition runs 1-19 July at The Didsbury Parsonage.

Alex Deane Eurostar We had the exact same going from Paris to “London”. 3pm check-in, sit on train for nearly six hours (all food runs out etc), finally go back to Gare du Nord and 1,000 passengers dumped in Paris with no hotels (cheapest room €2000 and they refund only up to €300). Disastrous.

Anyone else out there involved in the #eurostar disruption last week and trying to get compensation? We haven't even been able to lodge a claim yet but sent in a complaint . Any tips? We were forced to spend one night on a train, then a night in a hotel+ premium tickets home...
