Really feel sorry for those poor homeowners, if onely they had an extremely valuable asset they could quickly and easily convert to cash 😿😿😿

Max is an absolutely fantastic driver who has had an incredible season and I have nothing but huge respect for him, but what just happened is absolutely unacceptable. I cannot believe what we’ve just seen.

That’s going to court. The rules would have let all the lapped cars through which meant no more racing. They chose to engineer a finale to Drive to Survive instead. I supported Verstappen most of the year. But Lewis deserved that

Seems I picked a good tournament to buy tickets for the final. Looking forward to seeing Neil Robertson vs. Ronnie O'Sullivan tomorrow. Honestly wouldn't mind either one winning.

Have to thank Robertson for giving O'Sullivan 4 frames so I can see a guaranteed 6 frames tonight. Houdini act by Ronnie in the last frame there.

I have a new post up on my blog about the replication crisis. Why don't we have a replication crisis within mathematics? And what can this tell us about the fields that do have a replication crisis? jaydaigle.net/blog/replicati…

I've been writing research articles for over 10 years now and one of the hardest parts is writing consistently and efficiently without procrastinating. I'm going to share some of my tips here 🧵 1/10

Not content with destroying much of their historic fabric post war (not due to war) sad to see that Coventry Council is still stuck on making their city worse. “Road widening” to “reduce … emissions” - what mendacious nonsense

An essay for UnHerd about how Britain isn't America and why it's demented to pretend that "it's coming ... it's going to happen here", and so on. It really isn't. unherd.com/2022/06/stop-p…

🔍👀 Searching for users of the covid19.nhs.data R package!🎁 Have you used the mapping between local authorities and NHS Trusts that is included in the package? If yes, I would LOVE to hear what you used it for, and if you’re still using it! epiforecasts.io/covid19.nhs.da… 1/3

It’s strange when a character in a fantasy story is all “I am a scientist! I do not believe in magic and spirits!” while evidence for magic and spirits is everywhere around them. Science is founded on empiricism. Physicalism is a conclusion we reach, not a presupposition.

I don't normally donate to stuff like this but feel compelled by the ridiculousness of the lawsuit the Data Colada group are facing, and the knock-on effects it could have on science. I encourage everyone interested in the integrity of science to support them, monetarily or not.
