As part of his high-level visit to the Upper East Region, Acting Director General of GAC, Dr. Kharmacelle Prosper Akanbong, led a team in an interview at Dreamz FM, Bolgatanga, to discuss HIV prevention and innovative solutions, being undertaken to manage the epidemic in Ghana.

Acting Director General of GAC, Dr. Kharmacelle Prosper Akanbong, paid a courtesy visit to the Upper East Regional office of the CHRAJ, where he engaged with the Regional Director Abdulai Jaladeen (Esq) and his team, on promoting the human rights and dignity of all persons.

Courtesy call to the Upper East Regional Minister's office, where Acting Director General of GAC, Dr Kharmecelle Prosper Akanbong, was received and officially introduced by the Acting Regional Coordinating Director- Ibrahim Alhassan and the UERCC management team.

The Ag. Director General of GAC, Dr. Prosper Kharmacelle Akanbong, engaged CSOs, FBOs, and key stakeholders at a stakeholders' meeting held at the Regional House of Chiefs Board Room, where they discussed regional challenges in achieving national HIV and AIDS strategic goals.

GAC in collaboration with CHRAJ organised a two-day workshop to strengthen legal assistance organisations involved in HIV/TB service, with requisite skills to enhance rights based approaches. Technical support for the workshop is by UNAIDS with funding from the Global Fund

Afternoon session during the workshop on strengthening legal assistance organisations involved in HIV and TB service provision, where groups formed were asked among other things, to identify stigmatising language commonly used in Ghana, and propose preferred terminology.
