Super beef bourguignon with mustard mash at the The Red Lion At Kniveton yesterday with a friend. I bought some Duck Chicken cider bottles too. Plus they have a cider friendly band playing this Saturday. Highly recommended!

I had a brilliant day at The Great British Beer Festival Winter yesterday π». I really enjoyed chatting with so many interesting & passionate people. Here I am with Roger Protz & Amethyst Heels My Fitbit was confused this morning - it's a big site with beer in four areas. winter.gbbf.org.uk/about


Last weekend I was volunteering at Chesterfield CAMRA's Winding Wheel Beer Festival. A 2 day event packed with super cask, live beer & cider/perry options. I was on tokens with Moz. Plus Dominic Driscoll was onsite for a talk on how Thornbridge Brewery had saved part of The Union Brewing system

Derby FemALES had a lovely time at The Smithfield last week. Some of us hadn't been there before & that's what this group is about - women meeting in different pubs around Derby chatting & listening to each other. Next meeting is Wednesday 19th March at The Creaky Floorboard π


Three super pubs, (that I remembered to take photographs in this week), firstly The Smithfield who are celebrating their 8th birthday, I enjoyed visiting The Real Ale House , plus part of the cider and perry selection at The Victoria, Derby Three cracking pubs.




I had an overnight in Newark on Saturday which meant.....I enjoyed reading my book in Just Beer Micropub with some Azvex Brewing Co. and then I visited The Organ Grinder for some Hophead and a Guerrilla. Very relaxing.


Still smiling from last weekend π went to see Mrs Doubtfire - The Musical (who knew!). On Sunday we enjoyed the brilliant Hop Inn, Hornchurch where the legendary Connor sang for St Patrick's Day. We sipped cider. Nightingale Cider Co We laughed, sang, clapped & cheered. Perfect.
