When #Fiji assumed the international leadership of the #COP23 Presidency, it also committed to leading from the front in building #climate resiliency at home. Today at #COP24, Fiji launched its Planned Relocation Guidelines.

It was a pleasure to meet with Prime Minister Bainimarama of Fiji to discuss cooperation among Island States to protect people's human and economic rights, and sovereign land through biological adaptation strategies and investment in clean energy.

A total of 476 people have now been evacuated into seven evacuation centres around the country which include 263 children and 213 adults. Two evacuation centres have opened in the central division while five evacuation centres have been opened in the Northern Division. #TCMona
