I don’t expect much from the Yankees the rest of the way. They may have enough talent to make the playoffs, but they’re not good enough to beat the best teams at the end.

Are catchers not backing up first on grounders to the right side anymore? Has that gone by the wayside? Just happened in the Yankee game, cost them a run.

I’m in Ottawa for tonight’s Edmonton Elks game. Had a chance to check out OC Transpo’s new No. 2 line extension — which is the proverbial train to nowhere. I mean really, there’s nothing at the last two stops.

It was nice to see the Yankees beat the Nationals and the White Sox — like all Yankee teams, they are built to devour mediocre pitching — but let’s see what they can do against a real team like the Astros.
