At their Plenary meeting in Rome, #GPWMD partners highlighted threats posed by #WMD disinformation – including that propagated by Russia against Ukraine – and reiterated their collective commitment to the GP WMD Counter Disinfo Initiative.

(1/4) This has been a busy week for our initiative with Global Partnership | Weapons of Mass Destruction Plenary and OPCW #CSP29. #CBRN #disinformation is continuing to circulate and harm nonproliferation efforts. We also see these attacks increase in the lead up to and during disarmament meetings.

At their 2nd working group meeting under #G7Italy’s Presidency, #GPWMD countries & their many implementing partners demonstrated yet again why the GP is the world’s leading #WMD threat reduction mechanism.
