1st Grade was on fire during small groups today! 🔥 Students rotated through engaging center practicing phonics skills, reading decodables aligned to this week’s focus, and sharpening their handwriting in the writing center. 👏🏾👏🏾 Kine' Geathers

Great half-day planning session today with SeabornLeeElementary Kinder & 3rd grade Ts! 🙌 Lit Coach Kelvin G led two fantastic sessions using UBD to unpack Unit 2. Ts left feeling confident and ready to execute their next lesson! Samantha Atchison

1st & 4th grade Ts were able to unpack Unit 2, internalize lessons, plan the first text set of the unit, create CFAs, and create their anchor/process charts aligned to the standards during out half day planning. Awesome session w/both groups. Kine' Geathers

Absolute highlight of my birthday weekend was running into my former student who is now a sophomore at TSU! 🫶🏾🫶🏾

We celebrated students who made 80% or higher on the Unit 1 ELA Assessment. In 3-5, 102 students were gifted their reward today. So proud of these students and their hard work. ☺️ can’t wait to celebrate even more next unit. Kine' Geathers

In PLTs, Ts engaged in a Know/Show protocol to deepen their understanding of standards. Ts determined what students need to know & identified strategies to present to students. Ts walked away w/ more effective strategies/new ideas to implement in their classrooms. Kine' Geathers
