The blue-riband Suzuki Award for the Montagu of Beaulieu Trophy is for books and open to non-members. Winner is John Mayhead for ‘Goldie: The amazing story of Alfred Goldie Gardner’, a biography of a prolific record-breaker before and after WW2. #GOMW24 National Motor Museum

Second and third in the Suzuki Award for the Montagu of Beaulieu Trophy are George Levy for ‘Texas Legend: Jim Hall and his Chaparrals’ and Graham Rabagliati for ‘Emeryson: The Life of Paul Emery’. Both well-researched contributions to motorsport history. #GOMW24 National Motor Museum

Making a welcome return with a new sponsor is the Toyota Young Writer of the Year. Ryan Standen wins the Award for his fabulous story published in ‘Classic & Sports Car’ on an infamous Lotus Carlton that was used in a series of ram raids in the 1990s. #GOMW24

The Sue Baker Journalist of the Year – sponsored by loop, sees the judges carefully access the winning entries this year Awards with an emphasis on initiative and endeavour. It goes to James Foxall, who impressed the judges in all the categories he entered. #GOMW24

The first of two new Awards, the Guild and WOMAC Award for Fundraising – sponsored by Sims Images goes to Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia Motors UK. Throughout his career Paul has supported an array of UK charities and causes. #GOMW24 Kia UK

The Guild Special Contribution to Motoring Award – sponsored by Kia UK, goes to Daniel Geoghegan, founder of Bicester Heritage. A former RAF airfield now hosts more than 50 specialist and different high-skill, high-knowledge automotive businesses. #GOMW24 Kia UK Bicester Heritage

The second new award honours an automotive organisation promoting diversity, inclusion and equality, and goes to Females in Motorsport – a volunteer-run resource for women keen to work in motorsport and a place to celebrate diverse female racing talent. #GOMW24 Females in Motorsport

The Guild’s 2024 Young Driver of the Year is unable to be with us as he’s racing in Abu Dhabi. Britain’s newest F1 star Oliver Bearman, who scored points when thrown in the deep end with Ferrari in the Saudi Arabian GP in March, takes the accolade. #GOMW24 Ollie Bearman #F1

Continuing a theme the Guild Award for Outstanding Achievement in Motorsport goes to Isle of Man TT legend Michael Dunlop. In 2024 he became the most successful TT rider of all time with 29 wins. Aged 35 he has been on the TT podium a remarkable 68 times. #GOMW24 Isle of Man TT Races

The Guild President’s Trophy is presented by Nick Mason to Linda Jackson – one of a tiny number of female automotive company CEOs, Linda has broken through a few glass ceilings on her way to being CEO of Peugeot. #GOMW24 PEUGEOT UK
