By now, I'm hopeful that everybody who loved Willie McCovey knows that I have written the first full-lengt biography of the Giants legend. It's titled "A Giant Among Giants: The Baseball Life of Willie McCovey" and it was published by University of Nebraska Press.

Among the baseball notables quoted in the book are Pete Rose, Dave Winfield, Johnny Bench, Steve Blass, Don Sutton, Billy Williams, Bobby Richardson, Juan Marichal, Buster Posey, Orlando Cepeda, Chris Speier and Jim Davenport.
