These Picts, Celts, Vikings and Scots cut down the trees and filled the country with their stories. We leave nothing behind except our stories.

Just seen that Jamie Whitham’s still got space on forthcoming track outings at Knockhill on 16th and 17th of this month. Small but fun track is Knockhill, as he might say. jameswhitham.com if you fancy it.

Right, that’s Assen Worldsbk hotel cancelled and rebooked for new date. No cost. Car hire reservation also cancelled, no cost. Now for KLM flight... What are my chances...?

Can I just shut down the BS about the gov not knowing how to ‘pay’ freelancers/sole traders? They have our tax records. We pay Income Tax twice a year. Many pay VAT each quarter. Pay people the same % as PAYE bods based on that? They already know our recent annual earnings.

Genuine question. If Chief Medical Officer in Scotland was (quite rightly) forced out for travelling during lockdown, why is UK Cabinet Minister Robert Jenrick being defended by Downing Street? Lower standards or double standards? What message is that giving over Easter weekend?

As a son, brother and husband of one-time NHS nurses I demand Matt Hancock resigns after insulting every one of them live on TV. An automaton truly, truly out of his depth. As far removed from reality as a Great War general ordering troops over the top with no bullets.

I think Matt Hancock should explain to the nation (and my wife, the ex-nurse) why medical staff wearing the same gown for a full shift is an effective form of infection control during a pandemic. She was stunned when Uttercock said that yesterday.

Out for a walk with my son. Firth of Clyde looking good. Edge of Cumbrae on left, Bute opposite, Arran behind and Mull of Kintyre in the distance, left side. Lucky to live in Scotland.

Back from Spain/Portugal WorldSBK weekends means I am in my bedroom lockdown ‘prison’ for two weeks again. Isolating from family, not just everybody outside. Don’t be too sad for me...I have 2.8 hectares of green exercise yard, work to do and the sun is out in Scotland.

Fellow bike race people… Unearthed this hidden gem while digging out Christmas decs. (Miracle it has survived this long in my house, I know...) What to do with it? Neck it on Christmas Day? Will it be drinkable? Keep it intact for posterity? Sell it for millions? Opinions?

Draconian Police Bill & other 'red meat' moves mean Conservatism now lacks constraints in England - says Gerry Hassan. Correct. Yet in Scotland, it lacks democratic support. How can this be 'one nation'?

Johnson just said about the UK Union (after bumbling a bit as ever) “…by the way, as I leave I believe our Union is so strong…” By. The. Way. You can see the priority the Tories put on the Union. A fluffed footnote. Nobody in Scotland can seriously think we are in a real union?
