We've had a fantastic week of School Games events. 373 pupils taking part in our Sportshall Athletics heats and carousel festivals. Loads of jumping, running, throwing and bouncing - showing resilience and real team work. We can't wait for our district final in December!

We can't wait to welcome over 200 pupils to our School Games Sportshall Athletics Finals - competitive relay races and plenty of throwing, jumping, bouncing and running. Teamwork and resilience will definitely be on show!!

Congratulations to all the pupils who competed in our three Netball leagues. There has been a massive improvement in pivoting, passing, shooting, defending, footwork, communication and teamwork!! We're looking forward to seeing you all again in May for the Cup and Shield!

Had an unbeatable time at Cockton Hill Junior’s Quidditch SMILE Day! 🧹🏆 Watching our young witches and wizards soar on their broomsticks, chasing down the quaffle and dodging bludgers, was pure magic! ✨ So proud of their teamwork, spirit, and all the fun we had. ⚡️

Thank You Very Much to the Sports Leaders Paul A J Community College for helping us at our Year 5/6 Basketball Cup and Shield event. They were fabulous role models, while keeping scores and refereeing matches. We had a wonderful day with 12 schools & 98 pupils taking park.

Thanks to @Newton Aycliffe Rugby Club for hosting our Y5/6 Tag Rugby competition today - we had 43 matches fabulously refereed by students from Woodham Academy . Congratulations to Byerley Park and St Michael's who will now represent our district in the County Final next month.

What an amazing day at Wilton Primary Academy filled with excitement! 🎉 The children had a blast with the Blazepods, testing their speed and agility, followed by a fun Silent Disco where everyone danced to their own beat! 💃🕺 It was pure joy watching them have so much fun! 😄

What a fabulous morning with @Victoria Jubilee junior parkrun doing a practice junior parkrun. Both North Park Primary School and @Middlestone Moor Primary Academy brought pupils along to complete the 2km course. Loads of smiley faces - just proving that #MovementIsMagic !!

We're half way through the first week of the Big Wheel and Walk Challenge with lots of pupils getting active on their school commute. #MovementIsMagic So far 1797 journeys have been logged between the schools in County Durham.
