Harvesting finished for season 2024. Now the big clean out begins to get ready for new plants in early January. No time for rest just yet.

The wind has been building steadily in Waterford as can be seen on a graph from our weather station. Very nasty gusts thrown in for good measure. Glasshouse growers not sleeping much tonight. Stay safe everyone. #StormEowyn

It’s a super day here in sunny south east. Plants love this weather, first fruits beginning to appear as the bumble bees pollination work pays off.🌼🌼☀️☀️🐝🐝🍅🍅

Glass on the roof being washed this weekend by De3Koningen BV from The Netherlands. It’s very important to maintain clean glass to let maximum sunlight into the glasshouses. 🇳🇱🇳🇱🧼🧼☀️☀️🍅🍅

We had a brilliant week of sunshine which the plants have really responded too. The first vine, the fruit is set and developing, the second truss is 50% set and third truss is in full flower. In about 5 weeks we’ll see first red tomatoes appearing. ☀️☀️☀️🌼🌼🍅🍅 #Irishtomatoes

We removed plastic tissue under the pots 10 days ago to allow the roots take hold into the Grodan slabs. Now we check the root development which is ok considering the poor weather this week.🌧️🌧️🌧️💧💧💧#irishtomatoes

Getting close to seeing a few red tomatoes. Our plants are flowering on the 6th Vine this week so hopefully 7-10 days we’ll see some ripening start.
