For any voice actors just discovering us… we don’t do early casting. Ever. Don’t feel pressured to get auditions in quickly out of fear we’ll close down early.

Curious: when you don’t get paid quickly… are you getting excuses or just ghosted entirely? And does it ever give you pause to work with that project again?

100% agree and is why I love contracts. They force discussion and clarity: what’s required, what’s optional, what’s compensated, how it's compensated... Contracts may feel too formal for some people, but clear boundaries really enable respectful collaboration.

LAYERS. READING the script is merely a single layer of voice acting. There should be more layers, making the moment in the story (and the performance of) more complex, nuanced, multi-layered. How do we do that? Craft a bold, strong moment. And consistently practice being in it.
