I’m proud to say that my book, published by Gwasg Carreg Gwalch , ‘A Social History of Llandudno; The Miners of the Great Orme’ is now available to purchase and is in stock at Great Orme Mines.

My book ‘A Social History of Llandudno, The Miners of the Great Orme’ published by Gwasg Carreg Gwalch is now available to purchase! A collection of biographies of some of those that peopled the Great Orme copper mines in the 18th and 19th centuries.

🔬Exciting work from a partnership between our archaeologist, Dr. Harriet White & University of Leicester! Stone tools from our Bronze Age site are being studied for microwear—tiny marks reveal how they were used and their purpose. Big insights from tiny details! #Archaeology #BronzeAge

What a day! Making a bronze axe at the Bronze Age Great Orme Mines - living history indeed! Big thanks to Dr. James Dilley for an epic experience. All absolutely legitimate writer’s research naturally … here’s one I made earlier, with a cold one for scale

😃 We really enjoyed welcoming the Great Orme Country Park wardens to Great Orme Mines during Dr. James Dilley latest visit. There was plenty of laughs, getting hands-on with history and discovering the skills of Great Orme’s Bronze Age residents!

📰 We’re very proud to be part of what makes Llandudno so special, as mentioned in Daily Express this week; “Visitors can head underground to the award-winning Great Orme Mines” express.co.uk/travel/article…

It was heartwarming to see so many at my book reading at the mines last Friday. It was a wonderful evening! Thank you to everyone who attended. I was absolutely honoured to have Sean Parry of Sacred Knot Tattoo do some spellbinding Welsh musical performances too! Gwasg Carreg Gwalch

Tonight, we celebrated the epic launch of Serpent's Tears at the @StGeorgeHotel Penderyn Distillery direct from Llandudno Distillery! This smoky, fruity peated single malt (46% ABV) is Wales' first in over a century, inspired by the Great Orme. #SerpentsTears #WelshWhisky #LIandudno

😊 Proud to have achieved the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for 2025! This award recognises Great Orme Mines as being in the top 10% of things to do, worldwide! 🤩 Enormous thanks to everyone who has visited us and took the time to leave a review. 👏
