One thing I've loved about the Oak National Academy work this year is the emphasis we have had on scholarship and disciplinary knowledge- I reached out to theologian Dr Richter to use her work on the book of Deborah + I was happy to feature her as a theologian in my lesson. TeamRE

Delighted & honoured to be chairing the Curriculum Taskforce for Northern Ireland. Education NI minister Paul Givan has set a clear direction for a knowledge-rich, subject-sensitive curriculum. Very privileged to be working with Lucy Crehan & the deep expertise of NI teachers.

Loved listening to this. Genuinely believe that an adoption of at least CJ (maybe with the merged AI model described) at GCSE/A-Level could be transformative for history in terms of preventing end of ks4/5 assessment markschemes from negatively informing ks3 practice

This is a really powerful way to use our platform. I've been thinking about widening the scope of our year 7 scheme and being able to group different units together is so useful! thenational.academy/teachers/my-li…

Fun new project! Are you a history or science teacher interested in AI? If you have just ten minutes we're running a simple research project testing whether or not teachers can spot AI generated homework answers. More info at link, feel free to share! docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…

Suspensions and exclusions are a symptom of dealing with poor behaviour. Efforts to reduce this proxy figure must focus on improving behaviour rather than the all-too-common focus on preventing schools from effectively managing poor behaviour.

Our most recent webinar on planning and teaching a lesson sequence using an enquiry question from Catherine Priggs and Elizabeth Carr is now available to view! It really is brilliant so don't miss out (we're not just saying so because we're biased). Watch now: bit.ly/3IrHDTH
