"Thinking too little about things or thinking too much both make us obstinate and fanatical. If we look at our work immediately after completing it, we are still too involved; if too long afterwards, we cannot pick up the thread again." Pascal

Well, this arrived today. Always nice to see and feel the real thing in your hands after working on words on a screen for many years.

If you're in London on Monday evening 31st March 6.30pm, I'd love to see you at the London Launch of my biography of Pascal: Blaise Pascal, the Man who Made the Modern World. I'll be talking about the book and the man. There will be drinks and stuff to eat. What's not to like?

Watching Rory McIlroy's victory on Sunday sent me straight to John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress. The parallels are remarkable - even down to the green jacket. See here: shar.es/agljDY

This is going to be big. Like the Bible Project but for Church History. This first one is a strong, historically well-judged and well-told account of the first 200 years of the Church. Take a look & subscribe - there will be more to come. youtu.be/oM8Gcn1gbRw?fe… via YouTube

"Christianity, despite the times when it was on the verge of extinction, has proved surprisingly resilient. Like the dead body of Jesus, whenever people thought they had finished it off and nailed it down, it has shown a surprising capacity to be reborn" express.co.uk/comment/expres…

Praying today for all those for whom this day brings back painful memories of Grenfell 8 years ago. The last anniversary where the Tower will still be standing. I hope the Memorial raised there will be a fitting memory of previous lives, lessons learned and the power of Hope.
