Excited to share our work online at Cell today. Isotope tracing into bacterial-specific protein sequences tells what nutrient different microbes prefer in the gut. Huge thanks to Josh, Cholsoon Jang, Martin Wühr, Mohamed Donia for the guidance. cell.com/cell/fulltext/…

📢Thrilled to share -re-print alert from Laboratory of Interfaces, Flow and Electrokinetics. Led by Ben Alessio "Diffusiophoresis-enhanced Turing Patterns". Comparison of fish patterns with and without diffusiophoresis (pc credits to Birch Aquarium for the Ornate Boxfish and craigjhowe for the Jewel Moray Eel).

I’m thrilled to announce that I will be joining BioE department at UPenn Penn Bioengineering as an assistant professor, starting Jan 2024! My future lab is gonna have fun imaging and modeling metabolism!

🎉 Excited to share a big part of my PhD work in Allon Klein Lab that took many, many years and my blood, sweat, and tears! 😅 We ask - What’s the role of cell division in the formation of initial cell types during early development ?🧐 biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 🧵 (1/14)

Shen Lab website is up! We will be open in Jan 2024 Penn Bioengineering 🥳 Come join us if you are interested in imaging and metabolism🔬 Pls retweet imaging-systems-metabolism-lab.com

Excited to share my postdoc work out in Nature Chemical Biology! We explored the preferences and efficiencies of ATP pathways in cells and tissues. By quantifying metabolic flux and proteomics, we found that respiration makes ATP faster per enzyme mass than glycolysis🧵nature.com/articles/s4158…

Right on time for #ASMS2025 #SpatialMetabolomics Imaging MS Society "Spatial metabolic gradients in the liver and small intestine" - Congratulation to Laith and team biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
