Today I visited the Bollyfitness group in Crowcroft Park today. They are recipients of a Manchester Active Manchester Active Community Walking Grants designed to get Mancunians from all backgrounds more active.

It was a great event and the pitches will be an important contribution to the sports facilities of South Manchester, and beyond.

This morning I was delighted to open a MCC Work and Skills Jobs Fair at Wythenshawe Forum aimed st assisting military veterans to find work and new careers.

What a turnout for our first veterans event in Wythenshawe! 30 stallholders provided support & advice to 60 attendees. Cllr John Hacking opened the event, Cllr Tommy Judge shared reflections on his time as a veteran. MCC Talent Team & Spearhead Foundation added invaluable talks!
