Everyone squabbling over graphs that just don't make sense. If we're talking Poole Town, Labour were 4th, but national parties did not win. Nor in Oakdale, Parkstone or Hamworthy. Local elections shouldn't be fought as a mini-General Election.

Great evening, attending the blessing of the new Gig for poolegigrowingclub.co.uk. Beautiful new wooden boat, named for the new stars of Poole Harbour BBC Springwatch. Managed to get the Mayor along, who went for a spin, swapping his chains for a lifejacket, and a piggyback

Atlantic sea temperature this year compared to the last 30. Seems we are beyond avoiding global temperature rise, expect much more extreme weather, we will have to find ways to deal with the results of 30 years inaction.

Working on the Cordite Way path at Holton Heath again. We were featured on Politics South, and BBC online this week bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan… Still rather boggy, but we're clearing the drain, definately improving.

Oops, Groyne replacement on Bournemouth Beach. Digger in the sea. Driver is OK, and he isolated the bio-degradable fuel supply. Beware the soft sand. Digger to be recovered at low tide tonight.

Good to see the pedestrian crossings on Furnell Road being used, and nearly completed. The problems of crossing here were raised with us in 2019 by Mike Randall, I had to push to ensure the residents of Baiter got 2 crossings.

Great to see two eCargo bikes for deliveries along the BCP Council seafront. Much narrower than Diesel vans, but also Zedify say"Cargo bikes save an average of 95% and 82% more carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) per kilometre than diesel vans and electric vans respectively"

Great to be at #DorsetCOP2024 today, opened by Jessica Toale MP and Prof Alison Honour Bournemouth Uni Shared the inequity across Dorset on car ownership, not every household has access to vehicles, espsecially in urban centres (Weymouth in picture). Need travel choices for all.

"it’s the number of cars on the road that causes congestion, not the speed they travel at" Absolutely, and in a busy urban space, pedestrians need priority.
