Program Building: All things are created twice; first in the mind and then in the physical. All the great ones have a vision of how they want their team to play, and they vividly paint this picture.

Something I Found Interesting #28 (25.07.25) Nimble defenses move effectively into and out of zone, building solutions for common actions. Partizan starts in 2-3, goes 3-2 v. Shake PNR, and finally goes into Man Drop coverage in last 10 sec. Uncomfortable to play against.

TURN POST UPS IN TO DRIVES The traditional imagery for post ups include bigs and backdowns. Truth is, post ups can be advantageous for any player with an advantage. Instead of always backing down and fighting for space… turn that post up in to a drive by facing and running to

Heard Igor Kokoskov speak during a clinic on the importance of having "3 Outlets" vs. Aggressive Coverage - OR having 1 really good outlet. Campazzo would certainly satisfy the "1 good one" requirement. REAL MADRID- Mastery vs. the Blitz. Create advantage, keep advantage.

The best compliment a high school coach can get? “Your kids play the right way.” It means your culture shows. It means your team is unselfish, tough, and together. It means the little things matter, and your players bought in.

Kelvin Sampson said, "I think the coaches that fail at every level, are the coaches that are passive aggressive." "If you're going to build a culture, the first thing you have to come to grips with, you're going to have confrontation." (James Light)

"You have to play to a high standard all the time and that's the challenge. It's not the human condition to be that way. The 'human condition' is to survive. It wasn't to be the best that you can be or to win the championship. That's special."

True culture is built when teammates celebrate each other’s wins. Patrick Murphy nails it: “If you can be as happy for your teammate’s success as if you did it yourself, the sky is the limit.” That’s Mudita. That’s leadership.

Chart Effort, Not Outcomes. Check out why 4x Illinois Coach of the Year Rob Brost explains why he “charts effort, not outcomes” … and examples of how to track it! That’s right… Instead of focusing on points, rebounds, assists, etc….from Rob Brost's Playing Offense At
