This paper makes me happy as it includes a current PhD student (Jenna Weingarten), a former PhD student, and Melanie Dirks! It also shows that how adolescents think about hypothetical friendship break-ups predicts their real-life friendship experiences: doi.org/10.3389/fdpys.…

🚨New paper led by the fabulous Meghan Costello in JSPR, also @josoperrel.bsky.social, on the importance of vulnerability & self-disclosure in teens' close friendships. Adolescents with more self-disclosing friends showed ⬆️ vulnerability w/ romantic partners in adulthood. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/02…

I am so fortunate to work with the absolute BEST students (and baristas). Congratulations to Faizun N. Bakth on this well-deserved honor!
