Are you an Educational Psychologist (or know one)? I'm seeking EP colleagues for my DEdPsy Year 1 project on a topic that first led me into the field. A research brief will be produced after the study so look out for that too! uclioe.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bP… #twitterEPs #edutwitter

I’m looking forward to talking about identifying & supporting SEND, in this new AI world. A whistle stop tour through my upcoming book, it promises some free resources & advice to help education professionals bypass the huge wait and cost for assessment. Hope you’ll join me. 🩷

Stop talking about bloody pens please. It's petty nonsense. Start talking about how we fix a broken, underfunded and toxic education system. We have more in common than we think we do.

It was great to attend my first Festival of Education with my amazing colleague Cath OBE, FCCT. Our INSCHOOL workshop was very well received by school leaders and personnel and there is great enthusiasm for improving the school lives of young people with health conditions.

Some talk today about a school-to-prison pipeline in this country. A chapter of #TheExcludables looks at the evidence. Part of the answer: We have a care-to-prison pipeline.

Bridget Phillipson Please remember to make time to speak with those professionals on the front line and the rock face- they see first hand the day to day needs of our pupils. Don't overlook the work many Trusts are doing - particularly those with huge amounts of identified SEND needs and

The #GoodChildhoodReport 2024 is here, and it shows concerning findings for the wellbeing of children in the UK. We see a continuing decline in young people’s wellbeing. This must end now. Read more in the full report: childrenssociety.org.uk/good-childhood

Journalists are meant to speak truth to power. That's our job. But what do you do when that power is your own news org? This thread (professional suicide note?) is about The Guardian & The Observer's future. Because it turns out you can’t believe everything you read on a poster.. 1/

Dr Chris van Tulleken: “We’ve not all got greedier & lazier over the last 30 years. Instead there has been a total failure to regulate the food companies who shape our food environment.” #BBCLauraK: “Is it really for gov…to tell what companies can put in [food]?” Dr C: “Argh!”

Families have become isolated in recent years, and society seems to have become more hostile towards them. But why wouldn't we want to support our little ones? They're not only the most vulnerable in our world. They are, literally, our future.

A privilege to lecture about my day job at University of Worcester on the Masters in Education programme. The topic? How we identify SEND. I love talking about this topic - so much so I wrote a book about it. Out in June 2025. #nochildismissed Time for change.

A superb article from Schools Week on the SENCO workload situation, again validating the experience of SENCOs on the front line of this SEND crisis. A crisis, however, is an opportunity for change. Do check it out. schoolsweek.co.uk/burnt-out-and-…

We talk a lot about the #SEND Crisis. I think it’s a misnomer. It’s an education crisis. A system which has great endeavours but little flexibility to truly grow the children within it. Things could be different. And it starts with identifying needs correctly and supporting them.
