Going to #ccneuro22? Go see Paul talk about this project we’ve been working on for ages and which has turned out pretty cool 🗺🧠

I think it's probably time to share this...I wrote a book. It's coming out in dec 2022 (in theory). It is intended to help cognitive scientists, neuroscientists and AI researchers find a common language for talking about computation and intelligence.

A brief update: In a few short weeks I'll be moving to San Francisco to join OpenAI! I'm both super excited for this change, and very grateful to wonderful colleagues at Google DeepMind for the past 3 years ❤️ Tips on living in SF very much appreciated

Very proud to help build the Habermas Machine - AI for facilitating democratic deliberation - while I was at DeepMind. This work was years in the making, really pushed forward by the amazing MH Tessler 🇺🇦 , Michiel Bakker and summerfieldlab @summerfieldlab.bsky.social . Published now in Science Magazine

It's deeply concerning that one of the best AI researchers I've worked with, Kai, was denied a U.S. green card today. A Canadian who's lived and contributed here for 12 years now has to leave. We’re risking America’s AI leadership when we turn away talent like this.
