📢 Another new blog post! Check out the #SIGCHI Sustainability Committee’s second interview on sustainable prototyping practices from Jasmine Lu (thank you Jasmine). medium.com/sigchi/sustain…

Very excited to share this great TEI paper led by Oliver Child being demo'd at #TEI2024 in Cork this evening. An exploration on using acoustics for fabrication by manipulating particles and active materials. dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/36…

Is it possible to 3D-print digitally controllable visual displays made of PLA filament? This paper explores embedding displays into arbitrary 3D-printed objects using conductive local heaters and thermochromic filament. Check out our teaser video and #CHI2024 paper Justin Moon

BIG Lab (Bristol Interaction Group) alongside others is hosting the very first South West UK Pre-CHI event! Sponsored by Bristol School of Computer Science and GW4 Alliance Open to all those interested in HCI ✨ eventbrite.com/e/southwest-uk…

Brilliant Q&A at the book launch of #vassalstate by angus hanton. Is Britain the victim of an abusive relationship with with America?

Imagine a display you could push through, and then it can push back! Imagine no more. Check out our #CHI2024 paper: doi.org/10.1145/361390… and video: youtu.be/bZZrjsYl7AQ HCI@Bath European Research Council (ERC) Dr Cameron Steer Adwait Sharma Chris Clarke

🏝️ Day one of #CHI2024! Today, Ollie Hanton will be presenting an award-winning paper 🏅 that outlines a roadmap to enabling the 3D printing of interactive devices! programs.sigchi.org/chi/2024/progr… 📅 Fabrication and Tangible Interaction B 🚪Room 319 🕓 4pm

Today is a good day to “Sweat the Details” at #CHI2024: Why not try out Dom’s Dom Potts (He/Him) affective VR exergame yourself while it’s set up in the exhibition hall? We are looking forward to welcoming you at booth 1081 10:20am – 11am, 3:20pm – 4pm and 5:30pm – 7:30pm!

This is a really great opportunity to get feedback on your dissertation and research trajectory for PhD students in technical #hci spaces that intersect with ACM UIST 's type of work! Highly recommended! (Questions? Ask the amazing Anhong Guo and Jeeeun Kim ) #phdlife #phdchat

Yesterday at the Air Giants workshop, we held a test day that felt really special. A collaborative project with Bristol Digital Future Institute at the University of Bristol and Neon Dance - we've been working on wearable inflatable robotics with dancers. It's blowing even our minds!

Can technology turn exercise pain into pleasure? Dr Dominic Potts (Science at Bath) has created 'exergames' that use sensors to continuously measure a person's emotional state while they exercise. Find out more below. 👇
