Today, Rowan is proud to announce our latest game-changing feature—glitch mode. Glitch mode makes it possible for your molecular visualizations to look super cyberpunk (think Neuromancer or Blade Runner).

When Ilya Sutskever once explained why next-word prediction leads to intelligence, he made a metaphor: if you can piece together the clues and deduce the criminal’s name on the last page, you have a real understanding of the story. 🕵️‍♂️ Inspired by that idea, we turned to Ace

I've come up with a way of demystifying e (2.718) for high schoolers. poshenloh.com/e I think it is much more intuitive than how e is currently taught, and could update all of the textbooks. Full article: arxiv.org/abs/2504.10664 In the USA, the first time people learn

Jfc make it stop. It’s 2025. I wonder if total sales of CRISPR products from these patents ever surpasses the fees the lawyers took battling it out in court.

Excited to share our new Science Magazine paper! Led by postdocs Ruchao Peng and Xin Xu, we used cryo-EM/ET to reveal the influenza ribonucleoprotein complex structure and its strand-sliding mechanism for RNA synthesis, paving the way for new antivirals. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

This is a major story from #ASCO25. Randomized phase 3 trial of time of day of immunotherapy infusion. Randomized to infusion before or after 3pm. Early infusion far superior: PFS 11.3 vs 5.7 HR 0.42, OS HR 0.45! Impactful, pragmatic, not costly. This should be a bigger story.

An attempt to explain (current) ChatGPT versions. I still run into many, many people who don't know that: - o3 is the obvious best thing for important/hard things. It is a reasoning model that is much stronger than 4o and if you are using ChatGPT professionally and not using o3

Most interesting part of the Boltz-2 paper was how important curation was to achieve competitive results with FEP As we move "upwards" from molecular interactions to more complex disease mechanisms - pathway dynamics, cell-cell interactions, whole tissue biomarkers - think about

Setting up a lab has been no joke. Today, I'm stoked to have one more piece of my postdoc work out in the wild. Several more manuscripts to go, and I don't have a lot of time for a tweetorial today, but enjoy and happy to get any feedback on this story. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
