Does anyone still have a Saturday #CalgaryHerald with the Bob Edwards/Calgary Eye Opener article that I can have? I’ll come and pick it up from you. Impossible to buy now.

Bob Edwards, editor-publisher of the #Calgary Eye Opener, died #100YearsAgo this week. The #CalgaryHerald published this story on him on Saturday. I missed buying the paper, & it's impossible to get. Does anyone have one they can part with? I'll pick up. epaper.calgaryherald.com/article/281642…

"Singing, entertaining, and being in kind of good health at my age, that's why I survived." In "Hogan’s Heroes," Robert Clary played a French POW. In reality, he was born to a Jewish family in France in 1926 and survived several concentration camps. He died yesterday at 96.

Hogan’s Heroes reruns were on TV 13 times per week when I was a kid, and I watched them all. I went to hear Robert Clary speak in #YYC (at the Carriage House Inn, I think) about his #Holocaust experience. Oleh v’sholem.

On this day Blackfoot Crossing was received a donation from the Cross family on behalf of the descendants of Colonel Macleod, one of the actual medals gifted at the signing of the Blackfoot Treaty. This is one of three in known existence.

Hi. Historian here. I see that a lot of people are using the hashtag #TrudeauIsTheNewHitler without sarcasm. Hitler was directly responsible for the deaths of approximately 20 million people. Please shut up, fuck off, then fuck off some more.
