Climate gets hotter = more wildfires = habitat destruction = animals die = extinctions become more likely. One of many reasons to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions. What's the alternative? google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.…

I get that policy progress is often slower/more limited than it should be. But not doing LMP properly AKK 'nodal' and picking 'zonal' expected to save far less money, is a fudge. Long term we should be going for nodal. It's a digital and distributed future after all.

Happy Easter and very well done to this squirrel in Amelia Park, Worthing for beating the humans on their Easter egg hunt. Absolutely hilarious, furious parents.

Will Reform be trying to push shale gas in Lincolnshire? Will be interesting to see how that goes down but I expect they will say nothing, easier to have no plan than actual action. In any case, they are becoming the party of energy insecurity as well as climate denial.

Climate change is significantly worse that I ever would have expected when doing my MSc in 2009. Basically above all (though to be realistic) worst case scenarios from back then.

This dog politely asked for a musician's drumstick in the middle of their performance. Always excited to find a fellow stick lover. 12/10

The whole point of a pension is to provide security in retirement. If I follow James' advice and presumably invest only in anti-net zero firms, then I'll retire into a world of destabilised climate and social unrest. Which kinda defeats the point. I'll stick with climate action.

We got there in the end! But that took a long time and there was a huge amount of mis-information on the way. Just found this post from February 2022. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Was off yesterday....nice to come back to the news about the 'Warm Homes Plan' being fully funded at 13.2 Billion in the spending review. gov.uk/government/pub…

Honestly, if the switch to locational pricing is expected to reduce bills for everyone (albeit with slightly mixed impacts, BUT all bills down), it will be a total policy failure if the government allows it to be killed by lobbying.
