Saw this on my way out of work today and it made me smile. Life is so hard for so many whether they choose to show it or not, but caring for each other makes it so much easier for us all. @EDSRFT1 @SalfordRoyalNHS #bekind #SuicidePreventionMonth #randomactofkindness

Helen Metcalfe is currently on stage delivering a talk discussing how to reduce violence and aggression in the emergency care setting. Not just in physical ways but by prioritising relationships with outside professionals as well.

Thank you Emergency Care Confrence and Brian Dolan OBE, RMN, RGN for inviting me to talk to you about a proactive multiagency approach to reducing violence and aggression. Emergency staff are disproportionately affected by work place violence with over half of reported cases occurring in ED.

A violence and aggression reduction team was introduced. They have avenues open to them to follow up with these cases and take action if needed. Body cams have been introduced with good effect. Very interesting area, please contact Helen if interested!
