Depression is a motherfucker... I've talked openly in the past about my ongoing war with depression. Unfortunately, some of you were witness to it playing out in real time as I melted down on this very platform - trying to express what I was feeling and how deeply and intensely

If you barbell squat and deadlift regularly, at some point you’ve likely felt like your spine feels “compressed”. Here’s an easy fix that provides meaningful, immediate relief from that ✅

Conversion from the weight room is more about capacity than specificity. Remember the Mach Paradox, that getting better VBT scores in the weight room might make you better at doing the exercise but not better at the sport. Eventually, a saturation point exists in training.

Sprint Science At some point, it’s not about raising maximums but raising athlete minimums. Then focusing on being precise with movement and expressing speed, power, strength at the right times.

The obsession with being “speed-based” has hurt our industry. Dismissing conditioning ignores the bigger picture—long-term health, performance, and respect for exercise physiology.

The Elastic Acceleration Index, or another named metric that takes Peak Velocity and divides it by the time it takes to get to that peak, is not moving the needle. Time to move on...

Training with purpose takes courage now. Athletes feel they are movie stars and need to be doing things that everyone else is doing. If you fall into their pressures because you don't have a line in the sand, you will regret doing the silly stuff you know doesn't work later.

Assisted Sprinting and Overspeed- The braking distance or rate must be gentle so that the athlete can do more reps and decrease the chance of injury during the session. Great practices have the best runoff data...

Coaches have some questions regarding their strike point, the location of ground contact relative to their COG. Coach Hunter coined the term to get more precision in landing distance, as the MPJ at high gear is the exact location in sprinting. Model Data from Nicos Haralabidis
