A 3hr lecture planned this morning with around 150 Cardiff University Nursing 2nd yrs. They were upset, angry, bewildered…but kind, concerned & caring towards lecturing staff. These lovely, lovely students even bought me some chocolates & a cake. They do not deserve this!

The Cardiff University VC has been on BBC Radio 4 l, justifying the plan because there are ‘two music schools in Cardiff’. This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how that the Royal Welsh College and the University offer are wholly different.

Cardiff Uni is scrapping its nursing degree. A disaster for NHS Wales! This course trains skilled, evidence based nurses&offers amazing international opportunities. Cutting it means fewer nurses for Welsh hospitals & a huge step backward for healthcare. We can’t let this happen!
