13 Y10 students visited Helsby Hillside Primary School to work in groups teaching French, German and Polish to Y1-6 as part of their 'Language Leaders' role. We are proud of the way our students 'valued others' and we were thrilled to hear a lot of praise from the Hillside staff!

Well done to Y11 & 13 who have displayed perseverance, empathy and determination during the first few weeks of their external examinations. Between you, so far, you have sat a whopping 115 different exams and have made it past the halfway point! #achievingsuccess

Y12 Biologists have been busy conducting fieldwork.On Monday, they headed to Silver Bay in Anglesey, and on Wednesday they visited local woodland, Delamere forest. Both trips were enjoyed by all, and the students managed to collect lots of interesting and useful data.

Yesterday, students from Y7 & 8 who recently completed their Level 3 Bikeability Training attended the Headteacher's Reward Breakfast, where Mr Hill proudly presented them with their certificates and badges. Also in attendance was a gifted young writer, Rachel. Well done all!

On Monday, we will be collecting unwanted HHS blazers & ties in the Breakout Space after the GCSE Physics exam. We realise that there are still a small number of exams left but, you can still donate after your final exam by using the donation bin located in our reception foyer.

Everyday Helsby! We called in to Mrs Crammond's Y8 French class, and found the students completing a recall task, revising their recent topic, 'celebrations'. All students have been working hard in their lessons and have enjoyed learning about the exciting French festivals.

We have been delighted to see so many of our students arriving to school by bicycle this week. As the warm weather continues we hope that more students, where possible, will travel in this healthy and sustainable way. It is fantastic to see our Bike Shelter so full!

Mrs Cross had the pleasure of visiting our Memorial Garden enrichment group while hard at work this week and was amazed at the skill demonstrated by the students and the progress they have made towards making this a garden of remembrance and reflection. Well done all!

Congratulations to the Y7, 8 ,9 & 10 girls who represented the school at the  West Cheshire Schools Invitational Track and Field Competition. There were some super performances and great cooperation and success evident in the 4x100m relays that were won by the year 7 and 8 teams.

It was lovely to have former HHS student, Charlotte L, back with us last week! Charlotte spent the week completing work experience with our Science Technicians, gaining valuable lab experience, which will support her in her final year of Forensic Science study at the University.

YOU DID IT! Today was our last exam of the season and we would like to say a huge congratulations to both Year 11 and Year 13. We are really proud of every single one of you and look forward to celebrating your success on your results day!
