The EU Ambassador and EU Heads of Mission, accompanied by their spouses, paid a courtesy visit to Şanlıurfa Büyükşehir 🇹🇷 Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar. 🇪🇺🇹🇷

Afterwards, the EU delegation explored Balıklıgöl, the Pool of Sacred Fish, believed to be where Prophet Abraham was thrown into fire and the Şanlıurfa City Museum, which showcases the city's rich history from its foundation to the present. 🇪🇺🇹🇷

Visited Şanlıurfa with fellow EU ambassadors. Met the Governor, Mayor, and Chamber of Commerce President. Experiencing Göbeklitepe, a unique Neolithic site, was a powerful reminder of the earliest foundations of our shared humanity in Mesopotamia.

Met today in Ankara with my new Ukrainian colleague, Ambassador Naryman Dzhelialov. 🇧🇪🇺🇦 Belgium and Ukraine stand united, working with Türkiye to support Ukraine’s territorial integrity and pursue a just peace.
